“For the kingdom of Heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.”

Matthew 25:14

The kingdom of Heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, really? How?

I have thought for a long period of time that the Kingdom of Heaven was only about spiritual life. I never thought that it is like a man traveling into a far country. Wow, let’s find out!

Have you ever thought about this in detail? If not, let’s open our understanding and learn about this awesome verse!

Travel Plan

When you are planning a trip, first you need to know where you want to go, what your final destination is. Secondly, you need to know well what the purpose of the trip; the nature of your going and doing in there. Thirdly, you need to be prepared for your trip, you must have the budget, even you need to pray about it, especially when this is your first trip to another country you have never been before.

Kingdom of Heaven – What should I know?

  1. Your Life – do you know your destination/ the goal of life/ the target that you aim for
  2. What Purpose and Motive are you pursuing there?
  3. Do you prepare well? The budget to spend, invest or expend?

Facts

Have you ever thought about living 70 years, what average people do in life?

Sleep – 23 years – 32.9%
Work – 16 years – 22,8%
TV – 8 years – 11.4%
Eating – 6 years – 8.6%
Leisure – 4.5 years – 6.5%
Illness – 4 years – 5.7%
Dressing – 2 years – 2.8%
Travel – 6 years – 8.6%
Religion – 5 months – 0.7%

Do you realize that living in 70 years, you are seeking God. Compared with other areas of life? Once a week going to the House of God, faithful, never absent, for 1 hour in 70 years, mathematically only 5 month.

Then, do you expect God to bless you so much? Think and praying for you that God will lead your life, with His destiny, purpose and preparation.

#1. Too many people live without knowing their destiny, goal & target of life – no wonder their life is so hard. God wants you to have a vision for tomorrow, setting your goal, aiming to fulfill it and it will secure your life tomorrow. If you have your vision & goal, it means your life moving forward, any challenges in front of you will not break you, make you even stronger to finish up your course.

#2. So obvious, if you don’t have #1. Destination, you’ll lack purpose in what you are doing. When the purpose is lost, the impact is lost as well. If you live 70 years old, what is the most time you spend? Sleep? Working? Watching TV? Eating? Leisurement? Dressing? How about God?

#3. Prepare well your life, Faith-Family-Finance, be good stewardship – your plan in spending/ investing & expanding, are within your control?

That’s it folks! Kingdom of Heaven is indeed, like a man traveling abroad.
